This proposed two-storey beach house rests delicately on a rocky terrain along the coast of Carmen. The house is divided into two main levels —  the ground floor which is dedicated for the main living, dining and sleeping areas, and the lower ground floor for the shared and rentable spaces. The house facade responds to these two distinct functions accordingly. Operable bi-fold screens control privacy and security across the whole ground level.

Our clients were very particular about daylight and air flow, and have a keen interest towards plants and landscaping. This is reflected on the carefully integrated pockets of landscape and openings all throughout the house. Since the structure floats on stilts at a higher elevation, one of our favorite features of this house is how the pool seems to reach out and merge with the sea.
