Site and context play a significant role in architecture — In this case, we designed a bungalow along a gentle river in the mountains of Busay.

One of our first strategies was to break the house into segments/zones which were designed and located around the existing trees. During our site visits, one of the things we also noticed was that we were constantly inclined to rotate our bodies at an angle to get the best view of the river.  This realization encouraged us to rotate the structures by 45 degrees. This allows our clients large openings facing the desired view while avoiding direct contact with neighbors across.

Skylights are introduced to add in more natural light — these are shifted in different positions to highlight certain spaces of the house. The varying slopes of the roof provide an interesting medium for light and shadows to surface and rest.

A bunker and meditation area is engraved into the lower level of the landscape to prepare for calamities and to serve as a remote place for prayer.
